Birds of Paradise (2021)

Birds of Paradise honors and celebrates the enduring nature of queer and marginalized people to shape themselves into something that is desirable, vulnerable, fierce and reborn.

Commissioned by the Adrienne Arsht Center, Birds of Paradise was created by the Pioneer Winter Collective and produced in collaboration with the White Elephant Group.

The project consists of eight films all titled after the performers they each seek to highlight. You can find the films collected on this page (aside and below) in the order in which they appeared during the live World Premiere of the project at the Adrienne Arsht Center in 2022.
